The stag then he called to the mare. "Hey! Would you like to stay here? For the moment?" Then he stood perfectly there.

Fly Away's ears pricked forth to capture his call. She nodded and came to him once more. She would obey his command for she knew well not to mess around with Leads. She stopped infront him, snorting quietly. Her nares quivered as she stared at him. "I will stay until you ask me to leave, sir Foxstar."

"For company is not something I have had in a long time." he said. He then turned to walk into the stream. He waded into the cove until it was to his withers. He stood there letting the waves break into him.

Fly Away understood, staring at him like he was crazy for wading in that deep. Snorting and without hesitation, she followed stopping a few feet behind him. She remained still against the waves, staring at him. "How come you haven't had company in awhile?"

"Wandering. Living here. Only things that pass through here are wolves, foxes and cyotes." he said. "I haven't really had that much time around horses. And I was captured for a year. I lived with my parents for two years, then I was captured for a year, traveled for one and a half years and lived here for one and a half years."

"Wow.. Looks like you've dealt with a lot." Fly Away wasn't pitying him, though could somewhat feel his pain if any. Snorting, she remained still against the crashing waves, whickering as her entire bodice was encased in the watery prison. She loved water, enjoyed it.

"Yeah. So what about you? How did you end up alone?" he asked. He started to walk around the deep area.

Fly Away shrugged, "It's a bit of a blur, but there's the dern wranglers and such. All I heard was a gunshot and saw my mother fall. My father ran away with me, then he died of old age when I was only a year and a half." She snorted quietly, watching him walk about. Her eyes didn't get glassy for she taught herself how to be strong against death and such. She tossed her head.

"I haven't heard anything about my old herd, but I know that my parents are around 14 if they survived." He then stopped and waded into shallow water. He jumped out and shook his mane and flicked his tail to get some water out.

Fly Away nodded, "My father was thirteen when he passed, my mother twelve." She tossed her head, her legs working like pistons as she headed towards the shore. "How'd you come across this cove? It's beautiful.." She looked at the area, smiling. It reminded her of home.

"Traveling, finding the boundries of my land. This part is right on the edge. But it is still mine." he then started to graze.

Fly Away nodded. She shook her wet mane out before trotting a bit away from Foxstar. Snorting, she looked curiously towards the other lands. She tossed her head proudly before stomping a fore hoof into the ground, leaving her tattoo. She looked to the gleaming water droplets, in such a small liquid it looked to be a diamond in the rough. Snorting, she lowered her head to nibble on the greenery. She soon lost interest, however, and began to prance in a trot. She never seemed to stay still for more than a minute. She whickered quietly, ears pricked forth.

The stag continued to graze. He blocked out everything, even the noise of the mare. He then turned and cantered away. He was becoming a bit overwhelemed at the company. Even though he was alone for many years.

Fly Away briefly knew that the stallion had left, she, however, remained. She tossed her head, deciding to explore by herself. She always seemed independent. Snorting, she half reared before galloping freely into the wooded plains. Her head lifted with pride as she let out a few bucks. She whickered quietly in happiness as she looked along the forest floor. Nickering, she jumped over a small river-like ditch.

His strides lengthend and he sped up. Weaving through the trees like saloms. He wanted before he died to have a mare but this mare was certianly an option. But was she for him? Maybe, Maybe not...
